Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Sales Director for our client, a leading company in the renewable energy sector. As the Vice President, you will be at the forefront of expanding the company's presence in the solar C&I sector, focusing on building relationships with real estate portfolio owners to drive sales, installations, and activations of solar, storage, and other energy service products. Your strategic acumen and sales expertise will be instrumental in achieving the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive new business development by engaging with owners of large real estate portfolios to establish multi-year deployment plans for onsite solar across various asset classes such as industrial, office, retail, and hospitality.
  • Develop and execute a national sales strategy, including go-to-market strategy and sales goals, to penetrate target markets effectively.
  • Identify and capitalize on new opportunities, customers, and partners to expand the company's product and market offerings.
  • Cultivate strong business relationships with real estate portfolio owner customers, understanding their business drivers and aligning solutions accordingly.
  • Manage active programs to ensure business objectives are met, continuously analyzing program execution and effectiveness.
  • Develop sales plans, identify sales trends and insights, and collaborate with management and operations teams to set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Provide support to the local operations team as needed to ensure adherence to project schedules and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate reports on sales activities and progress, maintaining accurate records of accounts and sales activity.
  • Consistently meet or exceed all sales goals set by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or business administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or account management, with a track record of driving results.
  • 3-5 years of senior management experience, including leading, developing, and coaching teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in C&I solar and storage sales and installations.
  • Proficiency in selling energy products, including Purchase Power Agreements and roof leases, with knowledge of behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter solutions.
  • Familiarity with key sustainability and ESG drivers of PE, REIT, and real estate developers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical systems and experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience in solar sales, business development, marketing, and program management.
  • Understanding of the solar sales process and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with 50% travel
