Position: Director of Sales

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and priorities
  • Collaborate with founders on retail framework, channel strategies, pricing, and building out distributor network
  • Manage key accounts (Kroger, Albertsons, etc.) and focus on off-shelf opportunities
  • Oversee FDM Sales Team and brokers to expand distribution, especially with UNFI and KeHE
  • Create and track promotional plans, leveraging scan data to improve lift & ROI
  • Leverage tools to forecast sales, manage trade spend and slotting
  • Manage details of new item launches to ensure submissions are correct, distribution and production is on schedule, and new items hit shelves on time and in full
  • Create SKU-level forecasts by retailer and channel and work with finance and operations team members to incorporate into demand plan
  • Develop shopper marketing programs and digital strategies for major retailers
  • Work with founders to create and deliver presentations for key accounts
  • Collaborate with area sales managers and DSD distributors on strategies to drive in-store unit velocity including incremental displays, rep incentive programs, store promotional events, and marketing materials


Requirements:

  • 5+ years in CPG food sales, ideally salty snacks
  • Strong knowledge of national retail and distributor landscape, especially UNFI and KeHE
  • Proficient in analyzing Nielsen, SPINs, IRI/Circana, and retailer data
  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial, and positive attitude
  •  Excellent communication skills with strong experience and proven success leading presentations
  • Aggressive in securing off-shelf displays
  • Self-starter who naturally takes initiative and is excited to grow the business
  • Great at prioritizing tasks and goals and understands that in a start-up everyone needs to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Willing to travel up to 30% and manage trade shows and sales events
