Sales Director – AI Software Startup


A VC-backed startup in New York City that is revolutionizing the AI space is looking for a Sales Director who will lead their go-to-market strategy and oversee a high-performing team of 5+ AE’s. The company just closed a Series-B funding round and has been committed to delivering exceptional service in the digital world. This role is crucial to the growth of their business as they develop and execute on their GTM strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and drives revenue growth
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Achieve revenue targets and ensure consistent growth and profitability
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and provide actionable feedback to the product team


Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of sales experience at a SaaS or AI company with at least 3-5 years in sales leadership positions
  • Data-driven approach to sales as well as a strategic mindset
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B technology environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of building, mentoring and leading high-performing sales teams
  • The ability to identify and evaluate potential market opportunities and as well as customer growth as well as proficiency in analyzing sales metrics


Salary: $125-175K (401k, Stock Options, Unlimited PTO, Hybrid work schedule from the brand-new NYC office)
