This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for within the States of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a “Hybrid” employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.

Overview

As a leader in the Global Sales Organization, the Sales Compensation Manager is responsible for the performance, strategy, and alignment of sales operations in the company. This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of Global Sales, and Customer Success functions and ensuring that the interaction between those departments is aligned with the larger company-wide strategy dictated by the Chief Revenue Officer, and senior leadership across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Drive BHN's global incentive strategy and sales compensation plan design to the deployment process for the organization.
  • Acts as an executive business partner to leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams to design incentive compensation plans for a variety of roles, incorporating feedback from executives and organizational stakeholders.
  • Manage the entire incentive design process, including working with leaders to understand business strategic objectives, to assessing the success of current incentives, to proposing new incentive designs, to determining, operationalizing and communicating new incentives.
  • Incentive design scope includes commission plans and bonus plans for roles including: Client Executives, Solution Executives, Sales Managers, Inside Sales, Sales Support and Development Reps, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping the executive team abreast of successes and obstacles by using performance analytics to make tactful, consensus-derived recommendations for incentive plan fixes as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Commissions team in answering variable compensation questions posed by plan participants and leaders.
  • Partner with the HR team to ensure that teammate Total Compensation is in alignment with company’s compensation philosophy.
  • Consult with Legal to assess and ensure national, state, and local legal compliance.
  • Create and issue compensation plan and quota letters to the global sales organization
  • Deeply understand our sales compensation strategy in order to assist in developing and administering sales crediting and compensation plans, design, and policies
  • Research and resolve crediting and commission questions, including calculating and processing adjustments in the commission system
  • Preparing and distributing out monthly and quarterly commissions and attainment management analyses
  • Develop and deliver training, commission policy and process and related documentation to the global sales teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in sales compensation.
  • Proven ability to handle the complexities of an end-to-end commissions close, including managing towards accounting and payroll deadlines.
  • Knowledge of consumption based sales compensation structures, sales compensation concepts, sales data tracking processes, and methodologies.
  • A passion for constructing scalable processes and adapting swiftly in ambiguous situations is paramount.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information effectively and empathetically to executives and cross-functional teams at the appropriate cadence.
  • Proficiency in manipulating large data sets and conducting scenario analyses. Advanced skills in Excel and ability to learn data visualization tools like Power BI and/or Tableau. Experience using QuotaPath or other Sales Incentive Management software is desirable.
  • Excellence in structuring complex problems, developing solutions, and crafting recommendations concisely and effectively.
  • Strong project management skills to move projects/tasks forward.
  • High attention to detail, strong work ethic, demonstrated comfort with ambiguity, a can-do attitude, and an ability to meet tight deadlines.
