Position Overview:

Direct Shades and Blinds is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Assistant to support our

Executive VP of Business Development. The Sales Assistant will play a crucial role in driving

sales initiatives, coordinating with the sales team, and ensuring the smooth operation of the

business development department.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Support:

- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.

- Manage and update the CRM system with client information, sales activities, and follow-

ups.

- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries and

requests.

- Assist in monitoring sales performance metrics and generating reports for the Executive VP.


Estimating Team Collaboration:

- Work directly with the estimating team to gather and analyze data for accurate project

pricing.

- Assist in preparing detailed estimates and quotations for clients based on project

requirements.

- Coordinate with the estimating team to ensure timely completion of estimates and

proposals.


Mill Supplier Relations:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with our mill supplier to ensure timely delivery of

products and materials.

- Coordinate with the mill supplier to manage inventory levels, product availability, and order

fulfillment.

- Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with the mill supplier to optimize cost

savings and quality.


Administrative Support:

- Manage the Executive VP’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.

- Prepare and distribute internal communications related to sales, estimating, and business

development.

- Handle travel arrangements and accommodations for business trips, conferences, and

meetings.

- Organize and maintain sales documents, records, and files.


Customer Relations:

- Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information and pricing.

- Assist in resolving customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.

- Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred

- 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, estimating, or customer service.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
