Responsibilities

1. Facilitate technical and/or sales training including installation, controls, commissioning, service, troubleshooting, product, and basic applications

2. Work with subject matter experts to develop curriculum as required

3. Leading the development of technical training programs, including curriculum and corresponding training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, videos, and manuals

4. Prepare training facility and lab prior to training classes

5. Maintain training facility standards, including equipment and tools

6. Provide training support, including communication, promotion and coordination of product and technical training

7. Acts as a liaison between sales, product marketing, service, and training

8. Assist at educational or industry conferences; ability to present at conferences

9. Audit technical trainers 1&2 and experienced independent trainers.


Qualifications

1. HVAC degree or certification

2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field, preferred

3. 8+ years of experience with HVAC installation, commissioning, service and maintenance; 5+ years facilitating product and technical training

4. Position requires up to 75% more of travel

5. Experience training in the technical service field

Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

6. Knowledge of HVAC products and controls

7. Proven track record of success in service and customer service

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

9. Excellent presentation and facilitation skills

10. Ability to interact with students of varied backgrounds

11. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, students and customers

12. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures

13. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and develop course curriculum

14. Customer focus – proactively finds ways to exceed customer needs; Detail-oriented, well organized

15. Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment and take initiative individually
