Job Description
The Department of Justice, Law & Criminology in the School of Public Affairs at American University is seeking applications for one Research Professor. We are looking to hire one Research Professor to strengthen SPA’s portfolio of externally funded research. The salary for the position will be generated through externally funded research activities. Candidates must have a proven track record in obtaining grants and contracts in similar areas. Preference will be given for candidates with doctorate degree and externally funded research in a related field. There is no teaching associated with these positions. This is non-tenure track positions for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 with the title of Research Professor. The initial appointment is for 8 months (January 1-August 31, 2025).
Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled, subject to ongoing budgetary approval.
