  • Participate in high-level, fast-paced meetings with Chamber executives and take concise meeting notes and identify action items for key stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on political and corporate news trends, the Chamber’s work, and the needs and interests of our member and prospective companies and proactively connect the dots between the headlines and the corresponding impact on a given industry or company.
  • Leverage Salesforce to research company membership, generate insightful reports, track news and updates, and identify trends to support our membership and sales strategy.
  • Develop and maintain tracking sheets to organize and display relevant information, supporting data-driven sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in research, communications, or writing; experience working in a political or executive office highly preferred.
  • An interest in policy and politics and a solid understanding of the Chamber’s work and value.
  • Robust writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into succinct and easily understandable points.
  • A keen eye for detail, superior organizational ability, and outstanding copyediting, fact-checking, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience working with high-level executives and managing complex and fast-changing projects and prioritizing effectively in response.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with senior leaders with confidence and grace.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to take ownership of your work.
  • Effective time management with the ability to prioritize and meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with an analytical mind.
  • Experience using a CRM, with Salesforce a plus.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, notably Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
