Plan A Health, Inc is a nonprofit organization that brings health care directly to underserved communities, with an emphasis on improving sexual and reproductive health. Our first mobile clinic opened in 2021 and focuses on the Mississippi Delta region; we now operate 3 programs in the Delta and are opening a mobile clinic in Georgia. We are seeking a research associate to join our team to both manage program evaluation and research projects. This position is remote. Candidates from anywhere in the US are encouraged to apply.


This job does NOT require any lab work (ELISA, chromatography, etc). LinkedIn is recommending that on the post for some applicants but those skills are not associated with the position



Job Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data from patient charts, focus groups, in depth interviews, and surveys
  • Coordinate with other research sites including supporting data collection and analysis of shared data.
  • Develop additional evaluation and assessment tools for project use as needed
  • Report findings to team members on a monthly basis with a detailed evaluation of metrics in need of improvement. Participate in strategy sessions to develop innovative approaches to improving performance
  • Create research summaries in multiple formats, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, graphs and standard, written summaries.
  • Prepare and submit manuscripts for publication and presentation.
  • Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations.
  • Handle necessary administrative paperwork and other documentation needed for study management including IRB approvals.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Supervise research assistants.


Job Skill & Qualifications

The ideal candidate is passionate about improving access to reproductive and sexual healthcare in underserved communities. We are a small, collaborative organization - the person in this role will work closely with the executive director, providers, and community health workers. A strategic thinker with talent for creative problem solving and willingness to support team members on related tasks is a must. Familiarity with Qualtrics is preferred.


Required:

  • Graduate degree in public health or healthcare policy/administration
  • Minimum two years’ research experience 
  • Experience performing statistical analysis
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
