Remote Payroll Tax Manager – Direct Hire - $90K + bonus

Salary: $90K + 12% annual bonus + benefits

Reports To: Director, Payroll Tax

Direct Reports: Payroll Tax Analyst, Payroll Tax Specialist

Job Summary:

The largest light industrial staffing company in the United States is looking for a Payroll Tax Manager to start ASAP.

This position is responsible for the management of the department’s critical tasks and staff to assure timely and accurate reporting of periodic, quarterly, and annual payroll tax data to the tax agencies by performing the essential duties listed below.

Job Functions:

Maintain oversight of all tax-related activities to include periodic, quarterly, and annual tax payments and filings, timely amendment processing and filing, etc.

Liaise with and provide oversight including audit of tax payment and W2 vendors

Works in conjunction with Payroll to ensure continuity of service delivery

Ensure first class service is consistently provided to internal and external customersthrough maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the team and processes

Serve as escalation point for tax-related issues

Perform UAT for tax updates and system enhancements

Support department and client initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting or Business

10 years related experience in multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll tax administration required

Extensive experience engaging with federal, state, territory, and local tax agencies for POA requirements, notice resolution, and penalty abatement

8 years related experience with 50,000+ Employees, multi-frequency payrolls, W2C processing and management reporting of tax activity

Experience managing employees

Subject Matter Expertise in federal, state, territory, local payroll tax and reporting requirements,

Advanced skills in MS Excel to include V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, Macros

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
