Regional Sales Director (West Coast)

Location: Can sit in any of these states: CA, PacNW, CO, AZ, NV and TX

Target Salary: $120K-$140K+ base

***Note: Candidates must be able to work as Full Time W2 Employee without Sponsorship***


About: Our client is growing our Commercial Sales team and hiring a Regional Sales Director- West Coast. The Regional Sales Director is essential to the success of our client by utilizing strong leadership skills, valuable sales experience.


What you do:

The Regional Sales Director will lead a Sales Team of 6 plus Sr Account Executives, Territory Account Manager and ancillary sales support. The 6 or more Sales Reps that you will lead are located across the west coast including CA, PacNW, CO, AZ, NV and TX. Periodic travel to these locations will be required.


Leadership:

  • Build and implement strong procedures and processes that will be followed by the team.
  • Recruit and onboard new hires to ensure the team will achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership, training, on-going development to the Sales team.
  • Coach and mentor Sales Representatives in support of career progression, provides feedback on knowledge, skill, and leadership development opportunities, and suggests ongoing education opportunities.


Drive Revenue:

  • Responsible for delivering profitable sales revenue growth across the territory.
  • Oversee and manage the communication of sales data and other key information to ensure distribution leaders and producers are well educated, motivated, and supported in a timely manner.
  • Develop strategies and tactics for increasing market share.
  • Engage the customer by deliberately tying their business priorities to our value proposition.
  • Manage the overall customer relationship process while supporting business development in the planning and execution of the account strategies, tactics and selling propositions.
  • Work closely on a day-to-day basis with channel partner field sales representatives.
  • Identify and strategically target new account opportunities with channel partner representatives.
  • Cultivate, develop and provide all support needs to make channel partner representatives successful.


Content Mastery

  • Engage in extensive and ongoing training on technical, clinical and economic value proposition of all our client’s product offerings and solutions.
  • Expertly conduct multi-departmental key stakeholder meetings appropriate to the sales cycle stage timely and efficiently for those involved to understand their investment / ROI
  • Demonstrate strong retention and mastery of value proposition content consistently in all aspects of the role with customers, partners, team members (TAMs and BDs), Commercial Leadership, as well as members of the company’s Leadership Team
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team as well as peers in identifying and recommending business initiatives that will help drive our client's long-term growth and success
  • Attend and participate in local and national conferences, networking events, National Company meetings, Field Rides and the like to benefit positioning in the market space.


What you bring:

  • Degree in Business Administration/Marketing strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of sales experience in medical device sales with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments
  • Previous sales executive experience with great track record of hiring and growing sales and marketing teams
  • Previous experience with establishing protocols and procedures for sales teams to follow
  • Strong ability to sell medical products based upon customer need; excellent sales presentation skills; strong ability to overcome customer objections and concerns; ability to quickly learn new products and services
  • Strong ability to develop long-term business relationships; strong listening skills; ability to interact with other departments to support the servicing of the customer
  • Strong ability to structure sales that meet the customers’ requirements and to resolve problems in a timely, efficient and complete manner
  • Critical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good time-management skills.
  • Advanced presentation, speaking and written communication skills with the ability to present clinical and financial data
  • Alignment with the mission and values of our client.
  • Ability to travel extensively to cover territory; up to 75% of time.
