General Description
American Aluminum Extrusion in Canton, Ohio is seeking motivated individual to help drive, build, and execute our overall quality standards and compliance in a Quality Technician Role:
Assuring employees are adhering the company’s quality procedures and processes
Verifying AAE products meet manufacturing and customer specifications
Reviewing and ensuring document control and product traceability is maintained
Initiate teamwork and problem solving when quality issues arise
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and improve overall quality

Required Skills
The qualified applicant will have:
Minimum of (2) years working in manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality role
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Concepts
Understanding of QMS and Basic QMS Tools: Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, Document Control, and Calibration/Validation
Experience using measuring equipment including tape measures, calipers, taper gages, and micrometers
Experience in quality testing and sample preparation
Experience doing quality and/or process audits
Working on and fostering teamwork
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Teams
QMS Data Entry
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to all types of temperatures
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching overhead
Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly
High degree of attention and care required to operate in a safe manner
Appropriate safety equipment is necessary
Overtime hours may be required
