Our summer safety week was a success! HIROTEC America's incredible safety team put together a week of interactive events with the mission of reminding employees how to incorporate safety into their professional and personal lives. ✅ Monday's focus was ergonomics with the help of Dan Parker from Team Rehabilitation Physical Therapy. Dan hosted a stretching session on our manufacturing floor! ✅ Tuesday's focus was proper PPE.  ✅ Wednesday's focus was going back to basics and reviewing our safety policies.  ✅ Thursday's focus was emergency planning with the help of Jon Toss, Fire Inspector with the Auburn Hills Fire Department.  ✅ Friday's focus was forklift safety with a friendly competition among trained drivers and spotters. The HIROTEC Group is committed to maintaining a positive safety culture. 🤝 Meet Patrick Sullivan - Technical Writer for HIROTEC America. 🎓 Patrick received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from Oakland University. He decided to join HIROTEC in February of last year and we're so happy to have him on our team! ✏ In his role as a technical writer, Patrick writes manuals for the assembly systems we send to our customers and assists in creating and posting information regarding our lockout tag system. 💭 He would advise upcoming generations to be flexible when building a career like his. He stated "There's a lot of variety in what you'll be doing day to day. One day I might be hammering away at a manual section another day I might be creating lockout tags, another day I might be out on the floor taking pictures of the tooling. That flexibility helps keep everything fresh when working on a project for a while. It also helps education and familiarize you with the different systems and tools you're working with." 📚 In his free time, Patrick enjoys participating in community theater and his local Tough Mudder.
