The Lab Technician reports to the Senior Production Supervisor and Lab Lead and is responsible for ensuring required quality tests are performed per the test methods on the batch tickets.
Major Processes
Perform quality checks and tests on batches. Initiate raw material moves to get within customer specification
Perform color checks on batches and give pigment moves to get the product within customer specification
Communicate all quality and safety concerns to the Lab Lead and Production Supervisor
Report the need for equipment maintenance and repairs
Maintain workplace safety and housekeeping duties as needed
Follows plant work instructions and safety rules
Participate in ISO qualification / audits
Participate in on the job training, including process specific training for all personnel on their shift
