Proposal Manager - Design-Build

As a Design-Build (DB) Proposal Manager, you’ll lead proposal development for our top DB pursuits all with support from a team of proposal coordinators and graphic designers. You will work with our DB sales leaders, DB delivery team, and client service team to develop and implement winning strategies and proposals through communication, organization, planning, and leadership on an opportunity level. In partnership with our sales and project delivery teams, your focus is managing the proposal process to present Jacobs through our statement of qualifications and proposals as the design-builder-of-choice for water and wastewater DB projects.
As a DB Proposal Manager, we’ll ask you to lead and manage the pursuit development process to ensure we are communicating our win strategy effectively through our messaging and content for pursuit documents and for interviews. We’ll rely on you to lead storyboarding sessions and work with the pursuit team to refine and integrate sales strategies into proposals. Also, you’ll support development of content for client interviews and leave-behind materials. This includes collaborating with sales and technical staff, working with graphic designers to develop exhibits that communicate our key messages.

Proven leadership, management, and organizational skills for directing, delegating, and overseeing multiple team members and their contributions
• Detailed understanding of and experience with relationship-based sales process, systems, and tools
• Polished and persuasive written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work with people of multiple disciplines
• Great interpersonal skills and an ability to develop, nurture, and maintain relationships at all levels of the company
• Self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
• Capability to negotiate with and influence others
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
• Commitment to success in support of the company’s strategic goals and profitable growth
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, marketing, communications or related field preferred
• Ability to travel
