Our Project Safety Manager will plan, implement and maintain a safety program to ensure safe construction operations on an assigned project or projects to protect the interest of the Company and its clients.

Requirements

  • Associates’ degree, 7+ years experience in field construction operations, 3 of those years with concentration in job site safety.
  • A thorough understanding of construction materials, construction practices and The Austin Method® is essential for this position.

  • Establish, implement and maintain a safety program to reduce or eliminate worker exposure to accidents.
  • Conduct safety meetings and seminars to inform and train workers on how to conduct jobsite construction operations in a safe manner.
  • Enforce compliance with all federal, state, local and Company safety rules and regulations to provide a safe working environment on the project.
  • Inspect the jobsite continuously to ascertain construction activities are conducted in accordance with the safety program and to take immediate action to correct any unsafe condition.
  • Review and document any accidents to determine the cause of the accident and to establish procedures, which will prevent similar accidents in future, construction operations.
  • Maintain all records and ensure all steps are taken to be in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Frequently Work in a loud environment
  • Frequently Work outdoors in high and low temperatures
  • Occasionally May work in high and/or precarious places
  • Must be able to travel to and work at the project site, this travel may be up to 100%.
