Job Overview

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities for the physical security team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft and submit purchase orders; follow up on progress to track approvals
  • Project manage security initiatives by engaging with stakeholders, designing schedules, assessing risks, managing budget, tracking progress, and escalating issues as appropriate
  • Develop and manage tracking systems (spreadsheets, calendars, etc.) for purchase orders, supplier engagements, and contracts
  • Collect, compile, and verify data from stakeholders and known data sources
  • Research and onboard new suppliers
  • Investigate new sources of data
  • Investigate and learn new technologies to support the Datacenter Physical Security (DCPS) program
  • Create content for distribution by collaborating with subject matter experts
  • Create agendas for meetings, manage meetings, and take meeting notes to distribute to attendees
  • Report on project status updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Create PowerPoint presentations
  • Act as point of contact and back-up to the primary point of contact
  • Conduct research on behalf of the point of contact
  • Own and update a variety of process documents, job aids, templates, and checklists
  • Document and provide weekly progress updates on goals and milestones achieved
  • Maintain a customer service approach to problem-solving and work with stakeholders to find solutions to their questions or concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security (DCPS) program at the direction of the point of contact.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required
  • 2 years of PM experience
  • Proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of purchase orders, contracts, and financial processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
  • Basic knowledge of purchase orders, contracts, and financial processes
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS Project, Visio etc.
