  • Manages budget and engages in strategic planning to ensure all goals are met.
  • Hires and directs the activities of staff.
  • Resolves personnel issues as they arise.
  • Engages in budget-planning, grant oversight, and policy development.
  • Implements new programs and projects and monitors ongoing activities of department or center.
  • Reviews department policies and processes and implements improvements as needed.
  • Represents department or center to internal and external constituents.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelors and 7 years experience

Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.

Job Summary/Additional Duties

Provide leadership, direction, and expertise in strategic enrollment planning, analysis, and reporting. Serves as a member of the Enrollment Services Leadership Team.

This Position Will Focus On The Following Competencies

  • Develops enrollment forecasting based on academic, demographic, and cultural trends at the local, national, and international level.
  • Oversees the implementation and monitoring of an undergraduate strategic enrollment management plan designed to reach targeted local, national, and international audiences.
  • Monitors enrollment goals and develops projections with institutional history and industry best practice.
  • Generates analyses that drive and inform recruitment strategy, financial aid, admissions scenarios, and retention strategies.
  • Co-directs university-wide merit based undergraduate scholarship and awarding processes.
  • Leads Enrollment Services Executive Directors in the development, storage, maintenance, and usage of their data as it relates to assessment and evaluation.
  • Designs, improves, and manages data reports that track admissions, financial and registrar processes, functions, and outcomes.
  • Works in collaboration with Institutional Research, Student Success Research and Analysis, and academic units to develop and assess enrollment models.
  • Supervises the daily activities of professional staff and student workers.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following:

  • Experience working with enrollment and student success metrics – Higher Education preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual).
  • Ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative data to identify, measure and benchmark progress metrics.
  • Ability to develop, implement, advocate, and assess processes and/or programs designed to meet targeted strategic planning goals.
  • Ability to take the initiative, problem-solve, exercise judgement, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external constituents.

Experience With The Following Program Are a Plus

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Statistical Analysis (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, Stata)
  • Data Visualization (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
  • On-line Surveys (e.g. Qualtrics, Survey Monkey)
  • Graphic Design tools (photoshop etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft.
