For our Ammeraal Beltech and AMMEGA Operations team, we are currently looking for a

Team lead

The Team Lead is responsible for a designated area and for directing, training and coordinating the activities of the team members engaged in the production or the processing of material. Lead the department team and others, perform all fabrication necessary in fulfilling work orders; achieve and support company goals in support of the customer, quality, and on-time delivery. In this role, you will be based in Skokie.

A day in the life of a Team Lead can look like

  • Review work orders, production schedule, reports and other related documents to determine production requirements. Evaluate current work cell capacity for on-time performance
  • Interpret drawing, specifications and shop orders
  • Plan and implement work schedules, assignments and workflow to meet production goals
  • Identify opportunities for productivity improvements
  • Revise production schedules where required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering
  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess quality. Completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Ensure team members adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for you to have

  • High school Diploma, GED, Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience with 2 years supervision experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • A Customer Service Attitude is a requirement
  • Computer skills to include: Windows7 & Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with AS 400 is desirable.
  • Team player mentality
  • Outstanding organizational skills are a must
  • Must be able to work in the US

Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
