Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for reviewing production orders and/or schedules to ascertain product data (i.e., types, quantities, specifications of products, scheduled delivery dates,) in order to effectively plan and coordinate department operations. The Production Supervisor will ensure all operations are performed in a safe manner to include adherence of all Safety Standards and Regulatory and Safety Laws. The Production Supervisor will communicate daily with Direct Supervisor on all production relates matters inclusive of employee grievances.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include:

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Provides leadership, coaches, guides, nurtures employees
• Identify issues in processes and efficiency, suggest and help implement continuous improvements/projects.
• Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
• Follow and enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
• Supervise production and make sure the orders are completed
• Monitor KPI performance and implement actions to meet and exceed goal metrics
• Foster a climate of Safety, Urgency, Accuracy and Timeliness
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus

Education And/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Other Skills And Abilities

Experience with QC, SQF, and HACCP

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
