Success Profile: The Product Development Associate assists the Design team to seamlessly deliver samples and develop the collection.
Reporting to: Design Director
Brand/Product Focus: Tommy Hilfiger - Suit Separates
Location (On-Site): New York City, Midtown Manhattan – Fashion District
Key Accountabilities:
Communication:
Create and update production BOM’s in PLM system for all styles.
Order samples.
Maintain daily communication with vendors and suppliers regarding all aspects of sample development. Maintain daily communication with overseas factories.
Logistics and Development:
Create and update seasonal factory development charts, maintaining them with style changes through development process, communicating with factories for their follow up.
Logistics and Organization:
Coordinate package deliveries and organize samples promptly.
Track samples in partnership with sales and marketing teams.
Assist with showroom set-up, sample preparation (steaming, hanging garments)
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of 3+ years of product development professional work
· College degree, or equivalent professional work experience, required
· Experience in a high SKU count environment, required
· General understanding of apparel styles, components and construction
· Experience with apparel timelines, calendars, and development process
Skills and Behaviors:
Must have prior experience with PLM software
Familiarity with MS Excel
Working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop a plus
Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with critical attention to detail
Confident, engaging verbal and written communication skills
Motivated to work in a high energy environment at the speed of fashion with ever-changing priorities
Ability to work independently and work to meet multiple deadlines
Ability to build and maintain relationships with other departments as well as vendors and other overseas offices

The pay range for this position is: $28.85 per hour/$60k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week) - $33.65 per hour/$70k per year (Annualized salary is based on a 40 hour work week)
