As a Privacy Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of an effective global privacy program. This role reports to the Senior Privacy Counsel. Diligent and proactive, this role will require excellent business judgment and strategic thinking, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
Build and maintain accurate records, including updating records of data processing.
Conduct inventories of personal information across the organization, sometimes at the department level and across jurisdictions.
Respond to data subject access requests.
Respond to privacy-related internal and customer-initiated inquiries.
Manage implementation of privacy tech tools (primarily Hagerty’s TrustArc system) to improve privacy program maturity.
Assist with responding to project and management ad hoc questions and tasks related to privacy.
Build your understanding of data privacy and data protection issues.
Work with the Privacy and Information Technology teams to develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to educate, train and support business teams.
Revise policies and procedures to reflect client needs and circumstances accurately.
Assist with the internal implementation of the same.
This might describe you
Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution.
Proven experience in any combination of IT, Privacy, or Compliance functions.
Have a strong interest in learning/working in Data Privacy.
Other Things To Note
This position can be worked remotely within the United States.
Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
