Peace Corps United States

Project Description

The Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation in Guinea has requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as Preparatory School English Language Lecturers. The creation of Classes Préparatoires aux Grandes Écoles (CPGE) is a strategic initiative led by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation (MESRSI) to advance higher education in Guinea. The PCRVs will support CPGE staff to elevate the students' English proficiency level by teaching language in practical contexts and strengthening fundamental grammar and syntax knowledge. The PCRVs will also support students in preparing for oral and written entrance exams and guide students in practicing text translation exercises.

Candidates selected for this position will be arriving in Guinea together as a group, so while the departure dates for the whole group could change, dates cannot be changed for individual candidates.
