The Washington Commanders Events Internship is a seasonal position with the Washington Commanders that will start in June of 2024 and span until early 2025. This position will have the opportunity to assist in executing various NFL tentpole and VIP events throughout the season and support the department with a variety of tasks including but not limited to those listed below.
Essential Accountabilities
Assist with the planning, logistics and implementation of events
Assist with the operation of Commanders Training Camp
Creation of timelines, trackers & calendars
Research events & best practices
Assist our partnership sales and marketing team in client’s event planning processes
Attend partner meetings as needed
Help execute partner dinners, meetings, golf tournaments with Alumni and more
Attend departmental and event specific meetings
Support the Brand Marketing department as needed
Support Commanders gameday and event spaces as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/Education/Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in event operations/planning
4-year undergraduate degree at an accredited university or college in the field of business, marketing, sports management, facility management, etc.
Demonstrated knowledge of event industry terminology, facility capabilities, operational procedures, event coordination and event-related services
Must have good communication skills.
Must have good time management skills.
Must be able to establish solid relationships with staff and clientele.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation and Internet software.
Must be available to work varied days and hours, on weekends and in the summer heat.
