Caleb Parrish comes to us from Howard University as part of the NFL's Diversity in Sports Medicine Pipeline Initiative this season! He'll complete a one-month clinical rotation with our medical staff beginning in August.

In honor of Juneteenth, our DE&I department hosted a celebration at Commanders HQ that began with a panel discussion featuring entrepreneurial trailblazers and Commanders partners: Arsha Jones, CEO of Capital City Mambo Sauce, and sisters Charnita Walker and Angela Brock, co-franchisees & owners of Rita’s Water Ice. Immediately following the panel discussion, employees had the opportunity to shop from local Black-owned businesses, including: Cargado Mobile Charging Solutions, Marriah Jones Beauty, Frères Branchiaux Candle Co., HerbSpice, Samone's Sugar Scrub, Mindful Mane & Body Care and Zion Roar. Additionally, the Commanders' Black Engagement Network (B.E.N.) hosted an engaging fireside chat featuring National Museum of African American History & Culture Historian, Kelly Elaine Navies. Kelly shared insights into Juneteenth and educated our staff on the holiday's history. The fireside chat was catered by a local Black-owned restaurant, Kitchen Cray.

On Friday, we capped off a successful offseason by officially signing our entire 2024 Washington Commanders Draft class, including our first round selection – QB Jayden Daniels. We were fortunate to add a group of players that each bring explosive talent, drive and character that align with our vision for what this franchise can become. Welcome to Jayden, Jer’Zhan Newton, Mike Sainristil, Ben Sinnott, Brandon Coleman, Luke McCaffrey, Jordan Magee, Dominique Hampton and Javontae Jean-Baptiste. It was impressive to watch Adam Peters, Dan Quinn and their teams do what they do best over the course of the offseason, including during key moments like free agency and the draft. I’m confident that this promising class of young players will be a major part of the foundation of what we’re building in Washington, will make our fans and community proud, and allow us to work towards our goal of consistently competing for championships. Next up – training camp. Let’s go.

We've announced an exclusive television broadcast partnership with CBS affiliate WUSA9 that includes increased coverage of the team through two new WUSA-produced shows, including a weekly pregame show, and three Commanders-produced shows.
