Political Messaging Advisor, Experiments Team

Movement Labs is a movement incubator and the leading peer-to-peer text political consultancy supporting progressives and grassroots activists nationwide. Our clients span both establishment and movement efforts, from senior Democratic Congressional leadership to Black Lives Matter. Your work will help mobilize 100,000 votes in the top battleground states to stop Donald Trump and recruit thousands of candidates for 100,000 elections that go uncontested every year.

Movement Labs seeks an exceptional messaging advisor to develop our persuasion content for 2024, both on scaled SMS/MMS messages and other media. Your content will be tested in field on a panel of over 500,000 voters.

This a fully remote cycle-hire through Dec 1.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop messages to persuade voters to support Joe Biden and other Democrats. These messages will be tested rapidly in-cycle and deployed this fall in a large-scale persuasion program in presidential battleground states
• Source and edit message content from across the progressive community, pre-testing libraries, news sources, etc
• Craft messages for text messages, paid digital ads, organic digital, and direct messages from influencers
• Collaborate with Experiments and Incubator teams to ensure messages meet programmatic and research needs
  
  
  

Requirements

• Expertise in persuasive messaging and message creation, especially very short-form text-based messaging
• Senior-level experience in political messaging campaigns
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative political persuasion research
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, contributing to the collective success of the Experiments and Incubator teams
• This is a part-time role requiring 10-15 hours per week
