Position Summary:
The successful candidate should possess a strong background in a variety of steel fabrication and steel and electrical assembly processes including lasering, forming, welding, machining, assembly, and paint. Proficiency in utilizing ERP system with a demonstrated record of increasing output and productivity through Associate involvement and process and flow improvements is also required. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

In This Role You Will:
- Provide support to all manufacturing teams and manage efficient integration of workflow.
- Deliver goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Drive a culture of engagement based on lean manufacturing principles.
- Own production schedule and pipeline/meetings.
- Design and implement visual management across plants.
- Ensure achievement of all committed manufacturing and shipping deadlines.
- Maintain efficient quality of all products within required budget and schedule.
- Ensure optimal level company performance and administer employee workforce and assist to design all continuous improvement activities and maintain process control.
- Maintain optimal level of customer services for both internal and external customers.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements; design and implement value added processes and changes.
- Maintain a dependable and dedicated workforce through open communication and the ability to drive and sustain change.
- Partner with other department managers on corrective action processes and process improvement development and implementation.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong data manipulation curiosity and ability. The company is transitioning to NetSuite, therefore, NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills. Stakeholders are both internal and external.
- Strong leadership skills are required.
- Electrical experience or familiarity is a strong plus, specifically with different components (i.e.; circuit breakers, switches, panelboards)
- Lean manufacturing mindset is required.
- Metric driven attitude. The success of the role will be based on Cost, Service, and Quality metrics.
- Utmost sense of urgency and sense of ownership of tasks/challenges assigned.
- Proficient with standard MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), including smartphone applications (Outlook, Text, Voice).
- Experience driving best operations practices throughout the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in production/operations/plant management (with similar scope)
- Experience in metal fabrication (cutting, forming, welding, assembly, test, etc.)
Skills:
- Good decision and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
- 5+ years management experience in a custom manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
