Plant Manager

PepperBall is committed to the mission of saving lives by providing law enforcement and other agencies with safer options for daily patrol, crowd control, and corrections. For over 25 years, we have supported this mission and are now seeking a driven and purpose-focused Operations Manager to help scale our manufacturing operations. This hands-on role involves enhancing and implementing quality processes, overseeing staff, and managing operational methods across departments to ensure the delivery of mission-critical products.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Operational Efficiency:
• Monitor and enhance the efficiency of all operational processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes to optimize workflow.
• Implement Quality Control Procedures:
• Develop and enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality goods.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.
• Strategic Planning and Goal-Setting:
• Participate in the development of strategic plans and set achievable goals for the department.
• Align departmental objectives with the overall mission of the company.
• Analyze Business Requirements and Customer Needs:
• Gather and analyze data to understand business requirements and customer expectations.
• Develop strategies to meet these needs effectively.
• Research and Innovation:
• Investigate and implement methods to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor departmental performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
• Team Supervision and Training:
• Supervise, train, and mentor factory workers and other staff members.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle documentation and reporting related to operational processes.
  

Requirements

• Experience:
• Previous experience as an operations supervisor or similar role.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and managing operational processes.
• Skills:
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of operational principles and policies.
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
• Certifications:
• Certified in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, demonstrating proficiency in process improvement and quality management.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in producing goods for law enforcement or similar sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
