A company in the Chicago area is looking for a Plant Manager to join their team. This person will be responsible for directing and coordinating the production and operations of the plant to ensure overall efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
-Analyzing production needs and reviewing entire plant production operations to coordinate employees and equipment necessary to operate at maximum efficiency.
-Works effectively with all production employees to maintain and improve statistics for pounds per man hour, overhead costs, yields, and direct labor costs for the plant. Keeps records of these and other production statistics for the facility. Maintains specific goals for labor costs when scheduling permanent and temporary employees.
-Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and suggests changes to increase efficiency of the entire plant.
-Works with the quality department to ensure quality standards are being met
-Facilitate cycle counts in order to maintain proper inventory levels
-Ensuring that OSHA requirements are maintained
Qualifications
-5-10 years of experience in Plant Management
-Prior experience in the food manufacturing industry
-Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools used in food manufacturing operations
-Ability to manage and motivate employees
Compensation:
$120,000 to $130,000 per year annual salary.
