Responsibilities
Ensure that customer orders are entered within the specified order entry goal
Receives and processes orders accurately and efficiently
Works closely with the credit department, purchasing, and the Shipping Liaison to ensure prompt processing of customer purchase orders
Contributes to identifying root cause and corrective actions relating to errors, processes, and other goals as required
Participate in training as required for current and future roles
Advocates the spirit of teamwork and personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities as requested by department supervisor
Willingness and ability to work overtime when asked by a manager or supervisor
Ability to communicate professionally and foster teamwork with cross functional teams and within department.
Requirements
High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of Order Entry experience
Ability to speak clearly and communicate in a writing style that is grammatically correct
Ability to learn, retain and utilize extensive part number matrix
Ability to quickly learn and operate computer software systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize and manage workflow
Accurate, focused and detail oriented
Highly proficient in Excel, Word & Microsoft Outlook
Dependable work habits, including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload
Self-motivated
