Job Title: Managed Services Support, Oracle Cloud and PeopleSoft Consultant
This is a REMOTE position.
Job Responsibilities
As a member of the Managed Services team, you will be a subject matter expert to our clients, providing day-to-day technical support for PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, as well as the underlying databases and OS.
Responsible for supporting an array of additional technologies, such as AD/Domain Controller integration, Linux/Windows patching and administration, OCI Load Balancer infrastructure management, and Control-M maintenance and administration.
Managing PeopleSoft environments, applying patches and updates to PeopleTools, maintaining PUM images, and managing middleware and PeopleTools configurations.
Maintaining the batch schedule, overseeing batch operations, and operational support for nightly PeopleSoft batch processing.
You will be a part of our MMS 24x7 on-call rotation and provide support for a variety of different clients as needed, using our ticketing system.
Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in US.
Bachelor's degree in computer science with 5-7 years industry experience and/or equivalent. work experience. (Experience can be CO-OP or other curriculum work.).
Experienced in managing middleware and PeopleTools configurations and applying patches and upgrades to PeopleTools.
Prior experience installing, configuring, and managing PeopleSoft Applications (9.x) and PeopleTools (8.5x, 8.6x).
Proficient in Application upgrades, Tools upgrades, PUM updates, Change Assistant, IB Setup, SSO, DPKs, etc.
Demonstrable knowledge of debugging and performance tuning PeopleSoft and Oracle Database.
Experience in configuring ElasticSearch Server/Kibana.
5 years or more of experience with Oracle products (Database, Weblogic, ODI, Golden Gate, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Engineered Systems), Cloud (OCI, AWS or any other).
Experience providing day-to-day operational support in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environment.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Able to support Oracle product patching/upgrades and operating system patching/upgrades.
Able to support Oracle database backups and filesystem backups.
Able to support Oracle Cloud Infrastructure networking configuration and operational support of Load Balancers in OCI.
Able to support OCI products such as Oracle Base Database, Autonomous DB, Exadata Cloud Service, Exadata Cloud at customer and compute instances.
Able to configure monitoring and define alarms and thresholds in OCI using Oracle products (DB Management, Stack Monitoring, Oracle Enterprise Manager).
Able to manage user access to OCI.
Knowledge of ancillary products such as Ansible, Control-M, Crowdstrike, Splunk, Tenable.io, and Terraform are nice to have.
Experience using a ticket-based service delivery system.
Ability to self-manage assigned tasks and work with multiple customers at the same time.
Able to be on-call and support a 24 x 7 operation.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to analyze and fix problems quickly.
