SUMMER CAMP INSTRUCTOR 1021.07AR
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working with students ages 6-18 years in one of the specific art forms offered at the OCSAC (visual arts, theatre, dance, music)
Must have a Youth Leader form and CANS (Child Abuse and Neglect system) background check through the Board of Education
REPORTS TO: Artistic Program Director
Job Goal
PERFORMANCERESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributing to a working environment that is friendly, respectful, open and honest.
Creating age-appropriate lessons within a defined curriculum area (art, music, movement, etc.) for each day of camp.
Within the group, each member is responsible for providing quality care for children and in communicating with families.
Preparing detailed lesson plans for each week’s summer session with an appropriate balance of independent and teacher directed activities, a broad range of experiences, and frequent opportunities for children to make choices about what they do.
Assuring that materials and equipment are available to support planned activities.
Utilizing excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Exhibiting honesty, integrity and commitment to confidentiality
Demonstrating imagination and sense of humor
Other duties as assigned by the Artistic Program Director
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
Must be able to walk, stand, sit and squat on the floor (with children)
Must be able to walk up and down steps several times each day.
Must be actively engaged and involved with children each day

Terms Of Employment
Compensation will be based on the board-approved Oldham County Schools Arts Center Theatre Summer Instructor salary schedule.
