  • Nutrition Evaluation and Support:
  • Analyze member data to create a personalized nutrition plan in alignment with their overall care plan.
  • Evaluate the dietary needs of a member by assessing their exercise levels, sleep, food habits, and stress in addition to test results.
  • Counsel individuals on nutrition fundamentals and healthy eating habits/behaviors to support life-long change to improve their quality of life.
  • Set clear and realistic objectives to achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Clarify information to members and explain the effects of nutrients on overall health.
  • Work with health coaches to provide on-going support and guidance to assist in successful implementation of an individualized program.
  • Guide and empower clients to identify, acknowledge and overcome obstacles that keep them from reaching their goals.
  • Keep up with the latest food and nutritional science research.
  • Document all dietary visits and progress in online EMR.
  • Consult with physicians to determine additional nutritional needs and diet restrictions for the member.
  • Implement prescribed dietary and nutritional recommendations with regular follow-ups.
  • Review and understand bloodwork, nutrient deficiencies and food allergies/sensitivities to ensure appropriate dietary standards or substitutions are met.
  • Assist in interpreting and implementing stool test results and gut healing protocols issued by the medical team.
  • Make presentations on a variety of topics including food tutorials, muscle building, insulin resistance etc.
  • Promote better health by speaking to groups about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.
  • Create educational materials about healthy food choices or specific diets.
  • Contribute to the improvement of systems and processes within the organization.
  • Collaborate with team members to adjust programs, design and implement new curriculum, problem solve, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition science or dietetics

Significant experience in nutrition programming and meal planning

Understanding the Functional Medicine approach with IFM training preferred.

* State Licensed or Registered Dietitian strongly preferred

Has excellent organization skills with attention to detail

Positive and proactive attitude toward clients and employees

Ability to multitask and prioritize work with minimal supervision

Proficient with all Microsoft Office programs
