Network Engineer l

Job Summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure, including physical data center and networking infrastructure with some implementation duties. This person will evaluate and monitor all network devices to ensure maximum reliability and throughput in order to maintain the desired availability of the corporate network.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain multi-site TCP/IP networks, including LAN/WAN, WLAN, ISP, Data Center, and Network Security technologies in line with business architectural needs and industry best practices
• Ensures appropriate network and server monitoring and security systems and alerts are implemented and current
• Documents and maintains network and infrastructure physical and logical diagrams
• Communicates effectively and efficiently with business lines and vendor partners regarding infrastructure support and analyses
• Participates in a 24/7 on-call infrastructure rotation
• Passionately pursue self-improvement, high performance in the areas of customer service, collaboration, teamwork, reliability, productivity, and execution

Education And Experience

• LAN/WAN networking including Static, BGP, VLAN, VSS, and LAG protocols
• IPsec and SSL Virtual Private Networking (VPN)
• Firewall configuration
• Cisco switches and routers
• Wireless LAN technologies
• Load Balancing configuration
• Amazon AWS - VPC, VPN Configurations, Route53, ALB, ECS
• VOIP and virtual call centers
• Network services including DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTPS
  
  

Certificates/Licenses/Registration

• CCENT, Network+ or other industry Network and Security certifications required (Entry Level)

This position has no budget responsibility, authority and/or level of control.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

The Compensation for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
