Base pay range

$75,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
Compensation: $75-110k/year

Location: Houston, TX

Network Administrator:

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Network Administrator to join their team!

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Administrator. The ideal candidate will have experience with level one network issues and a strong understanding of network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve level one network issues, including connectivity problems, hardware malfunctions, and configuration errors.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and access points.
  • Work with Fortinet products to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
  • Perform regular network performance analysis and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change management logs.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions.
  • Provide technical support to end-users and other IT staff for network-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in network administration and support, particularly in handling level one network issues.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Familiarity with network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

  • Exposure to the Fortinet Suite

Other Information:

  • This position will be required to travel to various U.S. locations 50% of the time.
