RFG Advisory is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Business Development Director to lead our efforts in recruiting financial advisors to join our platform. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy and expanding our network of advisors who align with our vision and values.


Location:

Company Headquarters are in Birmingham, Alabama. This position can be remote, preferably near a major airport. If in Birmingham, our team works a hybrid schedule.

Chief Growth Officer


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement a national business development strategy to identify, engage, and recruit high-caliber, growth-minded, independent financial advisors.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and professional network to source potential advisor candidates.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with Centers of Influence; third party recruiters, custodial business development officers, existing RFG Advisors, and other similar influencers
  • Manage the entire recruitment process once handed over from Advisor Growth Manager
  • Manage entire recruitment process from all Centers of Influence from initial outreach to onboarding
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective advisors, understanding their needs and demonstrating how affiliating with RFG Advisory can enhance their practice.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for prospective advisors throughout the Deal Stage/Opportunity process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on recruitment strategies and market positioning.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling recruitment materials and campaigns and have a deep understanding of HubSpot marketing sequences to maximize tool
  • Gather data required from recruits for both proforma and Letters of Intent, ensuring accuracy and transparency. Deliver results alongside C-Suite executive or alone once comfortable.
  • Set and achieve recruitment targets and KPIs, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on recruitment activities, outcomes, and market insights.
  • Manage the entire VIP process alongside Onboarding team: agenda setting, presenters, coordinating venue selections for dinner/hotel/travel.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, recruitment, or sales within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully recruiting independent financial advisors or similar roles.
  • Deep understanding of the financial advisory landscape and the unique needs of independent advisors.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
  • HubSpot or similar CRM knowledge mandatory.
