Location: Toledo, OH

Summary

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Toledo, OH, to find a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist. Responsibilities

  • MRI Imaging: Perform MRI scans on a variety of patients according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
  • Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for scans, ensuring their comfort and safety. Administer contrast media as needed, following hospital policies and safety guidelines.
  • Image Quality: Optimize image quality through proper technique selection and utilization of advanced imaging technology.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other team members to ensure accurate diagnoses and timely treatment planning.
  • Additional Duties: May include performing IV starts, phlebotomy, PACs, and assisting with image post-processing.

Schedule

  • Full-time: 36 hours per week.
  • Shift: 12-hour shifts, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
  • On-Call: As needed.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI.
    • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • NH state license in Radiologic Technology.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center, community hospital, or children's hospital.
    • Experience with NICU, PICU, and/or adult ICU patients.
    • Proficiency in IV starts, phlebotomy, and PACs.
    • Experience with MRI procedures such as the abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), spin-echo images, surface coils, T1-weighted images, and T2-weighted images.
    • Experience with Siemens MRI scanners.
