Responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of a clinically-focused IS team. Responsibilities will include serving as the primary liaison between IS and assigned client departments or functional areas, and management or oversight of major IS projects.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for day-to-day leadership and management of a clinically-focused IS team.
• Serves as the primary liaison between IS and assigned client departments or functional areas.
• Manages or oversees major IS projects.
• Assists in or leads requirement definition, contract negotiations and vendor selection activities.
• Participates in budgeting and strategic planning efforts.
• Directly responsible (with support from Human Resources) for employee engagement and people management processes including interviewing and selection, time and attendance approval, providing timely feedback and performance evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of IS project management or system support experience, in a healthcare environment.
• Strong IS background; proven experience supporting clinical information systems required
• Hands-on experience implementing and/or supporting major patient care and/or clinical department computer systems - i.e., clinical documentation, CPOE, OR Management, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, etc. required
• Served as the overall project manager on at least one major IS implementation effort required
• Experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting preferred
