Join our dynamic team at a well-established family practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual for a unique full-time role split between medical billing and patient reception. This position offers a diverse opportunity to engage with both clinical and administrative teams, ensuring seamless operations and excellent patient service.
Position: Full-time, remote (transitioning to in-person)
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming calls related to scheduling, billing inquiries, and medication refills.
Efficiently return voicemails regarding scheduling, billing, and medication needs.
Navigate patient charts to verify medication refill dates, appointment details, and demographic information.
Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to address billing-related matters effectively.
Process billing for patient visits on a daily basis.
Generate regular reports using the EMR system to monitor and optimize billing operations.
Assist in the documentation transfer to other healthcare providers involved in patient care.
Utilize Excel and Google Docs for daily workflow tracking and reporting.
Handle printing, copying, scanning, and mailing tasks as required by clinical and administrative teams.
Requirements
Previous experience in medical billing is required.
Comfortable with direct patient interaction and adept at resolving inquiries over the phone.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow up promptly on patient-related tasks.
Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic office software (Excel, Google Docs).
Ability to adapt to a remote work environment and transition to in-person work as needed.
