Medical Receptionist

Job Description

We are a busy primary care physician's office actively looking for an experienced individual who will be responsible for assisting physicians’ front office as a Medical Receptionist. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience in a primary care physician setting welcoming patients, greeting visitors in person or on the phone, answering or referring inquiries.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility includes serving patients by greeting, scheduling appointments, coordinating activities and functions of the front office to ensure support of the back office to facilitate a smooth patient flow. Optimizes patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or on the phone. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining records, updating personal and financial information, and collecting patient charges.

Required Skills:

Excellent communication skills, great customer service, and multi-task, humor, joyful or positive attitude, resourceful (always able to get what is required or make something happen) along with experience in practice management software (eClinicalWorks preferred).
