Who We're Seeking

We're on the lookout for a meticulous, adept communicator with experience in medical billing. If you have a background in the medical legal field, a knack for handling workers' compensation and personal injury cases, and a track record of navigating claims and denials, we'd love to hear from you.

Role Overview

As a Medical Biller with us, you'll play a pivotal role in accurately coding and billing medical services to ensure prompt reimbursement from insurance providers. Your duties will encompass navigating medical records, coding systems, and billing software to streamline our billing processes. Specifically, you'll:

Review medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services.

Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-10 standards.

Submit claims to insurance companies in a timely manner, utilizing electronic or paper methods.

Pursue resolution for unpaid claims and denials, addressing any billing discrepancies.

Engage in effective communication with insurance entities, legal representatives, patients, and healthcare professionals regarding billing inquiries.

Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Stay abreast of evolving medical coding and billing practices.

Collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to optimize departmental efficiency.

Requirements

Residency in Pennsylvania is a must.

Proven experience in medical billing or a related field.

Familiarity with the medical legal and accident & injury landscape.

Proficiency in medical terminology, coding systems (e.g., ICD-10), and billing processes.

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures.

Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.

Effective time management abilities to ensure efficient claims processing.

Authorization to work in the US; background check required upon hiring.

Schedule

Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Compensation

Hourly wage: $19-25/hour (dependent on experience and expertise)

Healthcare Allowance stipend for selecting your own healthcare plan from the marketplace.

2 weeks of paid time off (pro-rated, commencing after 4 months of employment)

3 additional paid days for sick leave, doctor's appointments, or mental health-related purposes.
