Job Description

A Mechanical Skilled Technician contributes to the manufacturing process by maintaining and operating manufacturing machinery. Mechanical technical knowledge is used for making repairs and includes monitoring the safety and quality of the equipment.

Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Technician, your essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Operating various types of equipment, including but not limited to, high speed assembly, metal stamping, injection molding, and/or packaging equipment.
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using various tools.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment.
  • Trouble-shoot issues with the equipment and perform maintenance and repairs, as necessary.
  • Responsible for safety, quality, and production.

Qualifications

Please consider applying if you have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of specialized technical training, or equivalent work experience
  • The ability to handle product and components up to 90% of the shift for performing quality inspections.
  • Possess the physical stamina to walk, stand, stoop, or bend up to 100% of the shift.
