Mechanical Engineering Manager

A globally prominent and rapidly growing manufacturer of cutting-edge production equipment seeks to expand their Design Engineering team. Due to an influx of exciting new, long-term business, they are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Lead. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role will serve in both technical (design and development) and leadership/supervisory capacities. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality components, systems, and assemblies for multiple product lines.
• Supervise and mentor a growing team of mechanical design engineers.
• Field questions and issues from junior staff prior to escalation to senior leadership.
• Lead design review and design release functions for mechanical group.
• Manage change control activities with respect to product and/or process changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• High proficiency with Solidworks.
• Extensive experience with design release phase of product development lifecycle.
• Experience with leading change management / change control activities.
