3.1 Phillip Lim is looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team. This is a dynamic role that collaborates closely internally with Design, Product Development and Production teams, and externally with domestic and international suppliers across our global supply chain. Strong communication and organizational skills will be pivotal to the success of this individual in sourcing and coordinating trims and materials for our sampling and production process on core and seasonal products.


What you'll do:

Material and Order Management

  • Process and track material and trims orders
  • Attend vendor meetings and track sample trims selected
  • Request and review trim detail sheets, and enter relevant data in RLM
  • Understand testing and quality standards as well as costing structures for materials and components
  • Create and maintain seasonal and seasonless trim boards
  • Establish and enforce color and quality standards based on design requests, and identify and pursue opportunities for consistency within and across seasons
  • Manage physical and digital seasonal trim logs
  • Process invoices and monitor AP schedule to make sure terms are maintained without delay to materials being released


Maintain Calendar

  • Managing schedules and deliveries, and communicating lead times to other teams based on detail sheets and supplier communication
  • Understand best practices for shipping to ensure materials are not delayed in transit

  • Proactive – anticipates needs & issues and works proactively to find solutions


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with 1-2 years of related work experience
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
