For our client, an Italian company leader in the international outdoor living market through several branches worldwide, we are in charge of recruiting a


Managing Director for the USA branch.


Responsibilities

The Managing Director will be responsible for the US subsidiary, developing the business in the US markets for the contract (hotellerie and residential) and reseller division, while interacting with the Italian headquarter.

In particular, reporting to the President/Group CEO, the MD will:

  • Define & set up all sales & operations strategy in accordance with the Headquarter;
  • Play an active role in defining the particular business model, providing direction and motivation to group leaders, establishing goals (turnover, margin..), budget, time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives;
  • Manage a team of First Line Managers;
  • Review and approving departmental budgets;
  • Release requested funds for company expenditure;
  • Review periodic reports and adjusting actions plan to meet company goals in a better way;
  • Develop the project business from scratch, giving life to the project and contract management processes in the Company on a national scale;
  • Work closely with all the players in the project pipeline;
  • Coordinate and manage the Company departments involved to achieve desired objectives reporting to the board;
  • Assist Team Leaders in developing, planning, and maintaining the budget including making adjustments to achieve targets;
  • Recruit and manage the team in accordance with the HQ;
  • Ensure activities are running effectively in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency/productivity, cost;
  • Ensure all departmental procedures are compliant with quality and legal management systems and programs;
  • Review and track Manufacturing and Sales Key Performance Indicators (KPI) including leading problem solving for negative trends or goals not met;
  • Develop and maintain positive management team relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony;
  • Ensures further development of Line Managers, team leaders, and team members through performance evaluation, development of training plans, feedback, coaching, corrective action, and cascade training, in strict cooperation with the HQ and with the HR & Organization departments;
  • Prepare and submit the US budget to the Group CEO annually.

  2. Strong experience in furniture market or similar

Site: New York Area (US).

Available to travel mainly inside USA e Canada
