The Opportunity

Are you a self-motivated solutions consultant or law enforcement professional with a sales background, that wants to make money selling an innovative technology, while also solving crime? If you thrive in a competitive, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment, this is a game-changing opportunity for you. Flock is looking to add a Manager of Solutions Consulting to lead our growing law enforcement sales team. This person will play a key role in helping Flock grow by refining the sales process and removing barriers for the sales team; as well as providing direct leadership to the solutions consulting team.. Your primary customer base are Law Enforcement agencies. This position is based out of your home office with up to 50% travel required.

The Skillset

  • 2+ years of experience managing at least 8 direct reports
  • 2+ years of experience in a pre-sales role
  • 5+ years of public safety technology
  • Ability to attract, vet, and hire top talent
  • Demonstrated ability in performance management
  • Demonstrated ability of onboarding new employees
  • Self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn, take initiative, and produce results.
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills, both in person and virtually to a variety of audiences - command staff, city/county officials, community groups and commercial customers.
  • Energized by solving problems- e.g. consultative approach - being a person of solutions
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, data-driven environment
  • Experience with revenue targets is a plus

90 Days at Flock

We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Manager, Solution Consultants at Flock Safety.

The First 30 Days

  • Complete training with solcon director to learn day to day team operations.
  • Gain proficiency in using internal operating systems and tooling in regard to metrics, scheduling, time off requests, etc..
  • Begin to lead the team meetings as well as triage last minute/special requests and develop a plan of attack.

The First 60 Days

  • Introduction to & create relationships with managers in Sales, Permitting, Project Management, Field Operations and Customer Success.
  • Build relationships with Senior Solutions Consultants and learn about their roles.

90 Days & Beyond

  • Be the primary point of contact for individual contributors.
  • Become a strategic cross-functional partner with peer managers.
  • Work closely with peers, cross functional partners so solutions consultants can provide the best support to sales as possible.

The Interview Process

  • Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.
  • The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
  • The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
  • The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.

The Perks

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $130,000 - $170,000 as well as stock options
