The NFL Live Event Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting individual for a full-time position to work with the head of NFL Access Control & Workforce operations to drive the strategy and execution of the NFL’s Workforce Operations or “Teammate” program. The ideal candidate will have experience in workforce program management and the planning and execution of live events.
This role is focused on the NFL tentpole events including Super Bowl, Pro Bowl and NFL Draft and will support on other league events as assigned (Hall of Fame, Combine, International Series Games). Additionally, the candidate is extremely organized, detail oriented, and has experience in working on multiple projects at once. This role is based out of New York City and will require a significant amount of travel.
Responsibilities
Drive the strategy and structure of NFL Workforce Operations program in conjunction with the NFL’s Manager of Access Control & Workforce Operations
Oversee the NFL’s Workforce Operations program from end to end, including but not limited to recruiting, scheduling, payrolling and onsite execution
Build and oversee all workforce or “Teammate” Experience elements at league tentpole events, including Teammate journey, break areas, thank you gifts etc.
Coordinating with local event partners (host committees, local organizing committees, sports commissions) on recruitment, training and management of workforce across tentpole events
Serving as liaison between NFL constituent groups such as hospitality and fan services on staffing needs for league tentpole events
Coordinating all aspects of workforce training for league tentpole events, including scheduling, creation and coordination of presentation materials across multiple parties, and conducting both live and virtual training sessions
Create communication documents and dashboards outlining timelines and processes for all stakeholders involved in NFL tentpole events workforce program
Oversee Workforce Operations budget across the league’s events
Work with NFL payrolling agency to ensure all teammates are properly onboarded prior to shift work dates
Collaborate with various internal NFL departments on different aspects of Teammate operations such as uniform creation and ordering, legal compliance, and sponsor donated product ordering
Supporting NFL Access Control Manager in Super Bowl Gameday credential distribution for 10,000 gameday staff
Support NFL Access Control Manager in the operational planning and execution of check-in, credential distribution and other workforce related logistics onsite at Pro Bowl and NFL Draft
Overseeing the creation and operation of Teammate Headquarters for NFL Draft, including venue selection, staffing, teammate deployment, and food and beverage setup
Manage an independent contractor
Access control/accreditation support across NFL tentpole events as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 5 years experience in multi-layered, large scale sports and entertainment related events and workforce (or volunteer) management
Proven success motivating, leading, training and supervising large groups of employees or volunteers
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse backgrounds and variety of levels inside and outside of the organization
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic
Ability to work long hours, nights/weekends, as needed
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
Clear concise written and verbal communication skills
Effective in providing exceptional customer service
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally

Physical Demands
This is a live event production role and, at times, will require physicality. This could involve lifting, moving heavy objects, extended periods outdoors in inclement weather, long hours of physical movement during show production, extensive travel requirements, site builds and adjustment of physical assets.

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
Salary
$90,000 — $115,000 USD
