What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate and Structured Finance specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, particularly in project finance within the utility-scale renewable power and energy storage space,, with a track record of experience structuring and executing complex financial and M&A transactions. The candidate should also have a solid understanding of offtake contract structures and how they impact project finance.

What you will do

  • Evaluate and analyze financial data, market trends, and regulatory environments to assess potential investment opportunities and risks within the electricity and utility sector, as well as developing strategies for corporate development.
  • Develop financial models and perform valuation analyses to support decision-making processes related to corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project financing, and capital raising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to structure and negotiate financing arrangements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments and risk analyses for potential investments and financing transactions, identifying key factors influencing financial performance and profitability.
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management regarding capital allocation, investment strategies, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends within the electricity and utility market, leveraging insights to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Foster relationships with financial institutions, investment banks, and other relevant parties to facilitate deal execution and optimize financing solutions.

The minimum qualifications you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or financial advisory roles, with a solid foundation in project finance for utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects within the US.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques and deal structuring, particularly for renewable generation and battery storage assets in the U.S.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and industry-specific factors impacting the renewable generation, electricity and utility markets.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex financial concepts efficiently and effectively, e.g., in pitchbook or board briefing form.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing financing transactions, including managing of due diligence processes, and related coordination and communication with internal colleagues, and external sources of capital, counterparties, advisors and consultants.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
