Position Overview
Joining our dynamic New England Chapter team, the Coordinator of Community Education and Outreach will play a crucial role in meeting the evolving needs of the community. Through collaborative partnerships and impactful outreach initiatives, you will spearhead the development and delivery of comprehensive education programs and resources tailored to local needs.
Key Responsibilities
Community Engagement:
Collaborate with team members to foster partnerships and support strategic priorities through outreach, education, and development efforts.
Cultivate and maintain relationships within the community, including individuals living with , caregivers, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Plan and execute in-person community education opportunities, including securing speakers, event logistics, promotion, and follow-up support.
Partnerships & Collaborations
Identify and nurture partnerships with external entities (e.g., senior centers, nonprofits, healthcare organizations) to maximize impact and engagement.
Act as a liaison between the Foundation and local communities, maintaining a strong presence through outreach events, presentations, and public policy initiatives.
Volunteer Engagement
Develop strategies to grow and maintain a network of volunteers to support outreach goals and local programs.
Oversee the Chapter Advisory Board's Mission and Outreach Committee to enhance local outreach efforts and advance national initiatives.
Communication & Budget Management
Manage Chapter communication channels, including the website, newsletter, social media, and inquiries.
Maintain the Chapter's outreach budget and calendar for community-based education programs.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide weekly progress reports and maintain up-to-date data records.
Actively seek opportunities to address community needs and advance the Foundation's mission and values.
Stay informed about, the Foundation's strategic plan, and operations.
Experience & Skills Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years in community outreach or health education, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with webinars or online platforms is advantageous.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel within the Chapter and region as needed.
