Role Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Manager of Commodities and Strategic Sourcing, specializing in the Electrical category. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in managing and optimizing supplier relationships and procurement strategies. Whether you're based remotely or near one of our facilities, you'll have the flexibility to excel in a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute 3-year sourcing strategies, collaborating closely with senior leadership.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of supplier capabilities and performance to mitigate risks effectively.
Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing events and negotiations, ensuring favorable supplier agreements.
Monitor market trends and implement proactive strategies to maintain competitive pricing and supply chain efficiency.
Lead supplier selection processes and manage strategic relationships to enhance performance and innovation.
Implement supply chain financing solutions to optimize working capital and support business growth.
Facilitate value analysis and engineering initiatives to enhance productivity and operational standards.
Drive operational improvements through effective project management and change leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills And Qualifications
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and present to senior leadership.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex procurement challenges.
Experience in managing projects across multiple locations and divisions within a matrix organization.
Solid understanding of business operations and processes, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment, with category management expertise highly valued.
Professional certifications such as CPM, APICS, CPIM, or CSCP are a plus.
Work Environment
This position offers a remote work option with flexibility to collaborate in-office if preferred. Travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally, may be required based on business needs.
